Okay, so let me first just say that I've been running my little booty off! I ran 11 miles in 1:35 on Monday (during my lunch break nonetheless ..hahaha), then I ran for an hour yesterday (7.05 miles). Then, I woke up bright and early this morning for some fun times at the track!!
Workout: 400 800 1200 1200 800 400 opt. 1600
Expected Times: 1:38, 3:28, 5:10, 5:08, 3:26, 1:36, 7:15
Rest is the same as always - 1 min after 400's, 2 min after 800's and 3 min after 1200's
My times: 1:30, 3:16, 5:01, 4:56, 3;13, 1:27 .... and then I was dead and refused to run the optional mile, but coach "made" me .... 7:05
I'm just loving the track. I'm getting faster and really enjoy pushing myself during the practices. Now, if only they make me faster then I'll be one happy, little runner. San Diego is the main goal on June 6th, but I'm running a 5K on May 1st and am excited to see what I can do with that!!!
